Q: How to not leave mark after my acne heals?
A: There are a few important things that you need to take precaution of if you want to minimize mark after acne heals.
You really really need to treat acne as soon as it develops. Apply topical remedies like benzyl benzoate, clindamycin, tretinoin, azelaic acid or adapalene to abort its progression whenever you notice a newly developed small raised red bump. Don’t wait until it is big and inflammed, then it will be too late and will surely leave a mark on your skin.
Do not pick at your pimples. This is a sure way to leave mark and scar.
Use an oily skin or acne-prone skincare to reduce sebum, clogged pores and inflammation. This will prevent the formation of acne and subsequently to prevent marks or scars.
Daily sunblock application will also help to prevent post-acne marks. So, don’t ever forget your sunblock even if you are experiencing an acne breakout.
Last but not least, seek medical advice when your acne breakout is out of control or they are big, angry-looking or cystic in nature.
