Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is particularly good in treating atrophic (sunken) and acne scars. It is straight forward, simple, low risk (as compare to surgical excision) and most importantly effective.
Chemical peels only play a minor role in scar resurfacing and function primarily as an adjunct as CO2 laser resurfacing is more precise and accurate in controlling the depth of the treatment.
